Pemberton Music Festival, July 16-20
The much anticipated Pemberton Festival returns after a six year break for long weekend of music and comedy in the picturesque town of Pemberton. The organisers expect tens of thousands of visitors to the area so the local municipality has worked with the organisers to create a cheat sheet of everything you need to know for getting around that weekend, be prepared and read the guide here.
Subaru IRONMAN® Canada, July 27
On Sunday, July 27, Subaru IRONMAN® Canada is taking place in Whistler and the surrounding area. Athletes from around the world will make their bid to become an Ironman on the local lakes, trails and roads on a course that spans both Whistler and Pemberton communities. As a result roads, public transit and parking will see significant impacts in Whistler from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. If you want to ensure you make it to your preferred cheering/volunteering/celebrating location be sure to PLAN AHEAD and use the Transportation Guide, leave your car at home, bike or walk on the Valley Trail.
