10 years ago, Whistler played host to several of the events for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. This major milestone was many decades in the making and holds unforgettable memories for anyone who experienced it.
During the games, Whistler hosted the Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, biathlon, Nordic combined, ski jumping, bobsleigh, luge and skeleton events.
The atmosphere during the Olympics in Whistler was unforgettable! Large TV screens aired events live, cheers filled the air and smiles spread across everyone’s faces.
Luckily, the Olympic legacy lives on in Whistler through the well-used venues such as Whistler Olympic Park and the Whistler Sliding Centre. And this year, we’re celebrating again as we commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Olympics in Whistler.
