Buying a house is one of the biggest decisions most people will make in their lifetimes. There is a lot to think about but with the right realtor, it doesn’t have to be daunting. I can help guide you through the process to make it seamless and hassle-free. Here is a step by step guide of what the buying process entails and how I can help you.

Consideration

You first need to start by asking yourself some questions. You should think about what you can afford, both as a down payment and as yearly payments. I will be there to help you understand your position as a buyer and the current market conditions. Once you’ve evaluated your price and the market, you can start the buying process.

Selection

Your first step is deciding on the kind of property you would like to purchase and narrowing it down to fit your needs.

Viewing Properties

Once we both have managed to refine the list to the best-suited properties within your budget, you can start viewing. Make sure you thoroughly evaluate the property including accessing the neighbourhood to see if it would be somewhere you could see yourself living. Remember, you want to choose a home that’s right for you, so don’t make any decisions lightly. If you’ve found a property that you think is perfect for you, always remember to charm the sellers. If you can build a rapport with the seller, it’s more likely your offer will be accepted.

Making an offer & negotiation

If you have found your dream home, the next step is to put an offer in. I can help you with negotiating and writing up the offer to purchase document. You may find that you have to negotiate this offer, don’t worry, however, as I can assist you with that.

Accepted offer

When the offer is agreed upon by both parties, I will assist you with everything from home inspections to making sure you are comfortable with financing.

Firm Deal & Completion

If you’ve got to this stage, then the property is nearly yours. You own your new Whistler home once all subject conditions have been removed and the purchase transaction has been completed.

Possession

You will receive the keys and you can move in.
